In short, the NY Post reported back in December 2017 that a company named, Papillon AO, a subsidiary of Safran – renamed MorphoTrust – which was merged and rebranded into IDEMIA – inserted Russian code into the FBI fingerprint software and has been accused of not being an independent company, but an emanation of the Russian Internal Affairs Ministry.
This is the same FBI fingerprint software that TSA also uses.
